National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at thousands of locations across the country, including a new venue in Marion County. Residents may now drive up to the Blue Entrance at the OhioHealth Marion Medical Campus, 1050 Delaware Avenue, and drop off their medications.

Expired or unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs, including pills, liquids, and syringes, are accepted. Law enforcement officers ask no questions and will dispose of the medications in a safe, legal, environmentally friendly manner. Containers will be recycled with individuals’ identity protected. The event will be held rain or shine.

Sponsors include Crawford-Marion ADAMH Board, OhioHealth Marion Medical Campus, Marion County Recycling & Litter Prevention, Marmet Drug Task Force, DKMM Solid Waste District, and Aqua Ohio.
