Quick Response Team (QRT)

What is a QRT?

A Quick Response Team (QRT) is a team of professionals which may include mental health professionals, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, Peer Supporters (individuals with lived experience and are in personal recovery) and law enforcement personnel that respond to emergency situations related to substance use such as overdose. Other professionals may be added to the team if the need arises.

What is the Goal?

The QRT team will connect with individuals who have experienced an overdose, illicit drug event, or are struggling with addiction, and their family to provide information, assist with treatment options, and referral. Education on the use of Narcan, a prescribed opiate overdose reversal medication, will be given and a free Narcan kit will be provided.

Where can I find Narcan?

Free Naloxone/Narcan available at Crawford County Public Health and Marion Public Health. Harm reduction vending machines with free Narcan kits can be found at the emergency room entrance of Avita Hospital in Bucyrus and Galion.
