The Board contracts with Marion-Crawford Prevention Programs to provide substance abuse prevention programming for elementary age youth in Marion County. The Board also funds prevention services for Marion and Crawford Counties for students in grades 6 through 12.

Prevention services are provided by Prevention Specialists and include the development and coordination of alcohol and other drug prevention programs; implementation of prevention program goals and objectives; coordination of programs to reduce unnecessary duplication of community alcohol and other drug prevention services; community education programs to professionals in education, human services and alcohol and other drug treatment, and coordination of a Teen Advisory Board and all county-wide and school based Teen Institute activities.
