Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation believes in investing in gatekeeper trainings and there is a significant investment in each trainer. Please know that QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) trainers are needed desperately in Ohio. If you feel as if you may not be able to make these opportunities in December, please allow others to register in order to provide the best service to all. Becoming a certified trainer of QPR’s industry-leading approach to suicide prevention is an excellent way for individuals and organizations to help empower their communities to effectively intervene on behalf of suicidal and in-crisis people.
“Gatekeepers” are parents, friends, neighbors, teachers, ministers, doctors, nurses, office supervisors, squad leaders, foremen, police officers, advisors, caseworkers, firefighters, and many others who are strategically positioned to recognize and refer someone at risk of suicide.
